Hum...
First are you sure its that point? There are a lot of points on that board. If you are sure then you need to check some stuff.
Do you have a voltmeter with ohm function. It could be the coating on the wires is still there { JUST A LITTLE NOT THE WHOLD THING! }
As always this is at your own risk...
If you have a meter with ohm function try the following.
1) Unsolder the point you solder to.
2) Put one probe on those wires.
3) Touch the probe to where the two seperate wires tie onto the board.
4) If you see it go from infinit to a low ohmage then its something else like wrong point otherwise the coating that keeps the coil wire from shorting is not allowing a connection.
If you get no reading then you will need to remove a very tiny bit of the coating on the wires. A knife will do but a small pice of sandpaper is better. JUST ENOUGH to connect to that point on the board where they went before. NO MORE.
