Proportional Speed
I know some people have controlled their bits using real Radio Control transmitters, when u did, did u get proportional speed?

you would have to seriously mod the car.

I was gonna modify my tomy controller,so it could pulse, but i thought that if i used a real transmitter,it would already pulse the signal, therefore creating variable speed!
Sum1 try the real transmitter idea!
All u have 2 do is open up ur char g controller, read the crystal frequency, then get 1 of these and put it in ur REAL transmitter.
Theres been a loada people viewing, but no 1 adding 2 my thoughts!

Your car's PCB is a radio controlled on-off switch. A proportional controller will send proportional signals, but your car would need an electronic speed controller (usually a $100 item) to control the proportional throttle. Also, to have proportional steering, you would need a steering servo with feedback.

running a pulse circuit from the controller would be interesting.

Yeah but how would you rig up the boost button on your remote? Or would you run it so the boost kicks in half a second in or something? That way you could tap in tight turns and open it up on the straightaway.
True proportional doesn't seem feabible, but these 2 speed ideas are cool.

I think the way it would work would be to have the normal forward and backward at full spped (AS THEY ALREADY ARE)
and to have a pulsing circuit connected in parallel to forward switch,
this circuit would have a switch on it, and when u pressed it the car would run at 1/2 speed.
ALSO 1 thing I was wondering, Why does a boost car at full boost run faster than a normal bit with the same specs?
Is there a resistor or transistor that needs to be changed to achieve the same speed?
