Decals

Has anyone used the inkjet water slide decal paper? If so, how is it? At 25 bucks for 10 sheets I figure I better ask. Thanks!!

Yep, I've used it, it's good stuff! Pricey, but worth it if you think about just how many decals you can make for small scale cars with that much paper!

The stuff works great.
Make sure to make smaller decals because they are easier to deal with. I tried and experiment to cover the whole side of my car with one decal and ended up wasting it because there were too many contours to deal with.

Also, get yourself a bottle of decal set at your local hobby shop. It makes dealing with decals so much easier and they blend into your vehicle better when done.

I've used it for years. I haven't had any luck printing from an inkjet printer. I usally edit the images in Adobe Illistrator which uses postscript instead of pixels, copy onto photo quality paper and, take it down to a Staples or Office Depot and have it printed on the decal film on a laser color printer using the bypass tray ( it burns better that way ). Then use Micro Set to attach the decal to the model. I don't even clear over the decal to fix the color as they reccomend, I clear after it's attached.

I actually use a micro-dry printer, which is similar to the old thermal printers. Totally water proof so I don't have to worry about the image running at all.
