Exclamation RMYC'S Megnocraft idea

it would be cool some one layered a plywood with magnets, + pointing up. that ways we can build a chassis with magnets on the botton , + pointing down.... the chassis would float... and you can put fans on the chassis to propel it ..
i think it would be soo tight

aight then later

peace

You could but it would start to fall and wouldnt stay up straight. Plus if the magnets were on the ground and you but propellers on the thing floating, as soon as it started to move it would fall because there wouldnt be any more magnets. Other then that, yea it would be pretty tight.

Loaded Track!

Since leveling all those magnets and other complications like microman noted I was picturing a track with a couple magnets embedded near the finish and angled forward along w/ a strip under the car facing like polarities so when you drive over the "loaded" spot it acts like a boost. Angles would need testing and of course anything like the rear axle, motorhousing etc. would need to be sheilded or formed from a non ferrous material or it would act like brakes ... I'm sure your idea is possible. I figure if it doesnt need uranium or voodoo to work then why not. (soon you will see at least 1 of mybrain children...belt driven w/ adj. RPM_ transverse mounted engine in a Bit_and my twin motor rig soon to be GMC Dually )

how would that act like a boost? as you approach it, it will repell just as much as it will push when you pass it.

if you wanted levitation you would have to have the chassis spinning like a top to keep the magnetic field uniform....
and you could make a set-up so that a light beam trigered an electromagnet to boost up the car so that it would repulse and not attract....bad luck if your behind tho...

I jsut realised you could probably use micro motors to spin 2 magnets and another for a fan to propell....it'd be like an upside-down helicopter
