Charging a Dual Cell

I have been thinking, would it be possible to have a dual cell spaced right and fit into the car exactly like the original battery, then add extra charge tabs and build a custom charger.....

Shouldnt you be able to charge both batteries individually that that way? Or am I just bein stupid.....

This whole concept or idea, is a little hard to explain....
I have a diecast body that is exactly 3 inches, and for the wheel wels to fit perfectly the soace needed to extend it just happens to be the exact size of the space taken up by the battery in a bit (using a Shen clone) So I figured rather than hardwire a dual cell (will need one to power the diecast body) why not just cut out the entire battery holding soace from another shen and insert it into the project one.......

I hope this makes sence so far.

That way to can change batteries and such much easier in the long run. I just dont know the best way to wire it all up after i get it build, heh. Which ever way is best for Power i guess... Cause I want the diecast to fly like a mofo.....

Pics to come shortly of everything...........
