lights for sale
Hello Everyone,
I have a light set for the bit char-g or microsizers rc that I'm trying to get rid of. For some reason, I couldn't get the lights to fit into my skyling set's R34. No matter how much modification I did to the car chasis or light set, it wouldn't fit.
Anyway, I have given up on the light set. The set is already soldered together and working, just fit and play. Anyone wanting it can click on the link below.

Thanks
Been looking for a set for the wife's bit... hehe
(only place I've seen these sold before (even on E-bay) was from "Mike's Mods" page.. but the UK pound conversion is killing me... can someine point me to a "resource" page with different retailer/wholesalers?)

Mike's mods are the only place that sells the assembled ones, but I heard they don't fit all bit char-g. Toyeast has numerous light sets for all the bits. This is where I got mine.

Unfortunately, because of the low head room in the skyline set, so to speak, the lights cannot fit. It's the battery that cannot fit. So, I don't recommend it for the skyline set unless you want a headache.

Cool
Thanks for the link!
My quest for the "Ultimate Light kit" and "Sirens" continues, however... only seen those on Mike's Mods... hehe

the reason its not fitting is because the shrink tubing on the battery is too big and bulky. i have an S200 with a low head room also, but mine fit, its a tight fit, but fits.
just heat the up the shrink tubing on the battery some more either with a hair dryer or a lighter(don't heat up the battery though). this way the shrink tubing will conform to the battery shape some more. the lights will fit also, you just have to much electrical tape or whatever it is on the lights.
heres a really crappy pic
pic of the battery
pic of the lights

I removed the shrink tubing from the original plan, because I thought of that same reason. I even removed the PCB cover. The picture you see above has electical tape around the battery (much thinner than heatshrink). Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. About the lights, I think you are right. Thanks. Looks like you are using an rx7. Right? Believe me, it has more headroom than the r34 and r32. Thanks anyway

Ok, I recognize the body in the picture now. I'll try it with the rx7 that I'm giving my bro for Christmas. If it doesn't fit the rx7 properly, I'll have to pull the item off of ebay. Thanks spikeymike for the info.

I did some blue foglights for my bit, as u can c on the pic 2 the left.
I used surface mount LEDS (to save weight), enamelled wire(to save on weight) and a thin 3V lithium cell.
Looked real good!
But make sure that u clean the enamel from ur solder joints properly,or u will get a higher resistance there, ie, a duller led!

Hey scottyboyfun,
I like the idea with the enamel wire. At the present moment, I'm planning on building another light set for my skyline r34. I remember using the stock wire from the toyeast kit and how easy they broke. How durable is the enamel wire?
