Does it turn both ways when you lift the car off the ground? If not, there's something wrong with the coils or your magnet has shifted. If it works fine with both wheels off the ground, then your battery must have been low and didn't have enough energy to energize the coil while you were driving.

Look for dust
I experienced the same problem with the steering after I drove my car around my garage for a while. Turns out that I had some very fine iron dust stuck on the bottom of the chassis under the steering magnet (I lift weights out there, so iron gets slid across the concrete pretty regularly).
Look at the bottom of your chassis, near the little white thingy (love technical talk) that's used to adjust the steering bias. If you see dust there, wipe it off (I used a damp paper towel) and see if that helps.

My car did this also after driving in my garage. I picked up some fine metal shavings like where grimoire picked up iron dust.
I'd check for that.

Hi Peeps,,
I noticed that the Rx-7 body in the FF kits is a very tight fit compared to the other bodies. I also broke my Rx-7's front slot thing. I bet all the FF Rx-7s have this problem.

I've got 8 bodies and the RX-7 is the only one I've managed to crack. It's on the same spot, front chassis attach area. Looks like a consistent problem with that one. I've still managed to install and remove it numerous times since without breaking it totally apart.
