Question ? about eliminating the microsizer charging unit

SO three days ago now I found out about microsizers. Much to the dismay of mycoworkers my production nearly stopped until last night I finally found 1 27 Mhz Imprezza at Target and bought four of their 10$ knockoffs @ 10$ a piece. Being the ever sophisticated beer drinking football watching American couch potato that I am I started thinking this would be a lot funner if I did not have to keep getting off the couch to pick the cars up off the carpet after with my superior driving skills I drove them right off the edge coffee table.
SO I came up with a new plan let my roomate pick them up, but then he started whining. So I thought to myself what if I built a track with sides and put it under glass it could then become a "decorative" coffe table. The problem with this I realized is trying to get the cars out all the time to charge them. I began wondering has anyone tried to eliminate the need for charging by say adding a solar cell to the top of the car?

why not try to make it like bumper cars?

positive on the ground or something, and negative on the ceiling, with wires from the bit touching both.

Yeah! Take the radiator off your roomy's car and use it for the electrode on the ceiling. Just connect a power cord with some hastily prepared duct-tape solders!

it gets a little tiring picking up the glass off the coffee table time and time again. he wants a to put the track IN the coffee table. A radiator on the bottom might do the trick for power, but on the ceiling, it'll be a problem. how about wire mesh? that way it get's electricity, and can still be seen from above.

Cut a door in the side of the coffee table so you can reach in and get the cars when the batteries need recharging. It beats lifting up the glass everytime.
