Yeah, let us know.
I have an old numeric pager lying around that might have to be sacrificed to my Bits.

yep its out of a pager. works like a champ. the hardest part was removing the weight without damaging the motor shaft. But it all worked great!

Do you notice a dramatic difference in this motorola pager motor and say the turbo or NOS motor in your car? And, is your car set up stock otherwise? No dual battery mods or PCB tinkering? And one more , how would you compare it to say putting a 2.6 or so Microsizer motor in there?

ebay! I got a few at $1.00 each, only the motors! I don't think the pager motor makes a big difference unless you BOOST the hell out of it. Those things are rated at no more than 10,000rpm
so just swapping motors wont help. I had to do the 4.5v mod to get them really moving!

Oh my car is modyfied!!!
3 1.2v 150 mah batterise =3.6v
no reverse mod (with an extra switch...)
It is so fast I cant even imagine using the red gears...
With the green motor and blue gears it is like 2-3 times as fast as my brother not modyfied with turbo motor and red gears...
that is why..about buying it of ebay...I have a hard time gettin my parents to give me the credit card and have a year to go before I can get one...so you think I could like send you a buck..and you could send me one of those motors???

Another good source for pager motors is places that sell pagers. They usually have replacement motors in stock that they use for repairs. Call around to all the places in your town that sell pagers and see if they stock replacements and if they will sell you some. They usually want like 3.00 each for them. But, you might do better than that.

Ok Heres My Take
Ok I tried posting this last night but PC froze so went to bed.
Anyway I do like this motor but I like the clone motor I modded better. The clone is faster but the has way more torque. With teal gears instant wide open. I'll still need more time to find just the right set-up for this motor.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's hard to get past the front desk personel and salesman to buy only a motor. Here's how I did it. I called around to different stores and asked for the guy who does repairs in the back. When I got one on the phone, I asked him if they would sell the motors to me. He asked the manager and they set a price. Quite a rigamaroll, but it worked.

damn store
Damn why cant they just sell me the frickin motor...I mean its not like they are givin it away for free..I would pay for it...but anyways wild03 when do you think you will get your shipment..cause I just got a nice idead on adding a small 1.5v calculater battery with the reverse w/switch mod so when drivin no reverse the extra juice would go to the engine...and I was gonna use a pager motor...
