steering correction switch

what exactly does the switch underneath do? i know it helps correct the streering, but i've taken apart the front end and the piece it moves is just plastic and it doesn't attach to anything. so what i'm asking is how does it help correct the steering? in a nut shell, how does it work? i'm new and trying to learn

If you noticed, near at the top of that plastic is a very small bump.
That pushes a little the steering thing.

So if you put it at left, your car will intead of straight will go left.
And the opposite if you put it to the right.

ive put that ting to all sides and it still goes the same way...

What do you mean it goes the same way?

It should change direction, even slightly.

Disassemble the front of the bit and check if everything is in place.
