I want to get a rocket racer but will the Mini-X bodies fit or is the DTM bodies a better fit? I dont like the one that comes with the car. Does tiny sell bodies that will fit the Rocket Racer?
I've been looking for the same. Since 1/24 is a scale for slot car racing - there are a lot of bodies via slotcar estores. Also decal kits for slot cars. Also 1/24 model kits should work - at least theoretically that is! You'd probably have to make alterations in the models to allow for the inners of the DRR. Or leave them in so you can be the only one at the local track with a driver and faux leather interior :-) I've also done google searches for 1/24 lexan bodies and they are also out there in estores.
I should get mine in the next few days and will work from there.
Has anyone tried putting a 1/24 scale static model body on their DRR? I want to try it once my DRR arrives. If anyone has done this, please post pictures.
My DRR just arrived today. One reason for getting the car was to make use of some of my model car kits. I've already started checking to see which models would be suitable. So far I'm thinking of doing a '57 chevy Bel Air, Police Crown Victoria, and Ricky Rudd's #5 Lumina. Here's a preview of the Lumina.
