a stock microsizer is just about walking speed, but its fast enough to get you in a bit of trouble with the car. spinning out isn't very hard to do. the 2.6 gets it to a bit faster than a walk, and gives it even more chance of spin. You also lose torque, since in electric motors you cant have both, you have to trade off.
The 2.2 is an excellent flat track motor though, and hte 2.6 is great for tracks with longer straightaways and less hard cornering. The more hard cornering you do, the slower motor you'll want. Now for oval track the size of pool tables, go with a 3.0 at least, a 3.8 is tricky, but can be done and will give you excellent results on a track of that nature. But at 3.0 and higher you risk flipping out instead of spinning since hte car is moving so fast.
