mesh for brake ducts and such

I was wondering if anyone knows a good place to get miniature mesh to make brake ducts and stuff.

Really small openings

I'd think window screen would be too coarse for something as small as a brake duct...I'd say get some black/darkgray fine weave cloth, spread some adhesive on the back to keep it from fraying when you cut out the tiny pieces, then attach it to the car.

ummm...if you do alot of car models, you could use some of the mesh that comes with the kit...you only really need half for the model, and then you got a good size for a couple bit cars...
i used plastic cement for models to glue it on

Talking Where to go....

Go to Hobby Lobby (or some craft store) and look for this (see pic).

It only comes in copper or brass. Get brass since copper could tarnish.

I recommend using an airbrush to paint it black/grey/silver or whatever. Painting with a brush or even a spray can could clog up the TINY openings!

Have fun!
