Question Many Questions...

I've been checking out these Auldey cars, and they look amazing. I have many questions, however. (probably because of the lack of info on these)

Can the 1:32 scale race-tin cars be run outside on a smooth street or driveway? (paved within the last year)

How hard is it to modify the car so that it can use the modified motors? I'm no good at soldering. The wheel mod too, is that difficult to do?

Which is better, the "bullet" control or the pistol-grip? Is the pistol proportional? I think that it may feel wierd using a pistol-grip that doesn't have proportional steering.

How easy do the stickers come off? They really look cheesy IMO.

The motors are pretty close in the speed that they say they're capable of. Which is the best? How fast do they REALLY go?

I figure that if these are as good as I think that they could be, and enough support and info was available on here, that a lot of people would buy them. The idea of a small R/C car that could be run outside, easily modded, and can go almost as fast as my 1/10th scale car (maybe faster?!) seems like the ultimate. Who wouldn't want one?
Sure the Bits are fun, but after my body cracked because it fell off the kitchen countertop one too many times I had second thoughts about how fun these could really be.

Hopefully my questions can be answered! I'm sure everyone could benefit from knowing more about these things.

Thanks,
Phil

i play with it outside so much, my tires are all worn out and i do donouts ;/...fun though
i sometimes race in my garage with smooth concrete for traction testing
if you arent skilled at soldering, i suggest you give it a try, its cheap to start...10-20$ worth of soldering equipment is good, and it lasts a while plus, if you want to add more battery cases, new motors, and other modifications like 2nd, third gear, etc...you HAVE to solder.

the range out of the box is friggin amazing....it comes with an antenna that stretches out at least 32" and it pretty much goes all the way down my street to where i cant see it...no need to do any range mods.

speed hmm...lets see....when im using turbo+2 extra batteries...i can speed walk/jog with it ..i need a faster motor

if you buy a wheel kit, it will come with separate knuckles for those tires, and allows you to add suspension springs because the knuckles are longer. you just pop the bolt in with the rim and should be good to go.

the stickers...haha that was THE FIRST thing i did. ...first peel as much as you can off, and then use some special cleaner called "Goo Gone" or WD40 ive heard works...then clean it with dish washing soap..and should be alot nicer looking.

hope that helps....

Thanks

Thanks for the reply!

I guess I should order an Auldey soon. How much did you pay for shipping? (I assume you got it from CarMoWorld?) Did it take a really long time for you to recieve the car? I don't like the idea of having to pay in those coupon things and sending in an order separately.
