Drift Kit?
I read that there is a drift kit for the bit char-g cars.
Can anyone give me an idea on where to get them?

Well, as I understand it, the Drift Kit is actually a gear set with very hard tires, such that the car will "drift" in the corners. Much like a drift is used in real competitive driving (front-end, rear-end, & 4-wheel).
After finding out what they were, I wasn't as keen on getting one, though I'm reconsidering simply to see how it performs.
You can get them in the Tune-Up boxed set (pretty expensive for one piece unless you also need a car), or set GS-04.
Most shops are sold out at the moment, but I'm sure that'll change.

well, I actually just ordered the new supra from toyeast.com.
Can you make the car drift/skid stock? Does it damage the engine to quickly switch to reverse?

Check out QFM Racing's article on how to make your own drift kit.

one more question: you know when you get a car up to speed, and then press reverse and turn? You know that it spins.
1) How bad is this for an engine?
2) Can you do this with the bit char-g?
btw, dead link.

I wouldn't think it's terribly bad for the motor. It depends what you're running, if you have a 3.0 that's just waiting for an excuse to explode, then maybe it's not a good idea. But with a 2.2 or 2.6 or 1.0 I'm sure you're fine. Oh, and yes you can do it with a BC-G, results are going to vary depending on your motor type obviously, as with a 1.0 you're only going to get a tiny powerslide when doing this.

The supra comes with a 2.2. Just how fast will it go?
btw, can you fix the link?

The 2.2 is a good all-round motor, you will like it.

i got the drift acle that came with the tuneup box and i was disappointed the car doesnt drift.... all it does is spin doughnuts the fact that the front tires grip WAY more than the back makes it extremely hard to control i was hoping the car would actually slide in turns not spin out so i dont recommend wasting the money on it but it seems to work really well on carpet (but just make sure there isnt a lot of hair in the ground)

Perhaps if you had "Drift" tires on all 4 wheels? Or at least as hard as you can get from the Tire package.

ok, to answer most of your questions: the drift set is pretty sad, you can pretty much only do donuts unless your driving a 1.0 and are the most amzing driver I've ever seen. When making your car drift with just the tires, like tiny said it isn't really bad for the motor unless your doing it 24/7, and it doesn't exactly have much of a transmition so you really shouldn't worry about stripping gears either. The only thing it really affects is the bigger cars like my Tamiya Blazing Star which I'm pretty sure I've already stripped the gears to the point where thay look like they've been sanded off. Ok, and last, putting a drift set in the front, I'm sorry, is just pointless. you would have NO traction and would be doing donuts all the damn time. So, in summation: I wouldn't recommend the drift set unless you have the money to spare and know what your doing
