Ehem...thanks MTL for clearing it up.
Ok, well Barry shaved off the front of the PCB box in order to fit ZZ wheels.

i think he means the actual chassis guys, not the body
well...if you think about it, there arent much "Safe" places to cut the chassis.....you could make large squares in the steering cover...you could make a square on both sides of the chassis...but that means your internals will be exposed, so some tape will fix that...
you could make a new pcb cover out of ...umm..tape
if you use ZZ rims, dont use any hubcaps..it makes it slightly lighter...

you can cut out the rear section of the main compartment (where the battery goes) in front of the heat sink...

I had pondered cutting some of the spokes out of the rims. Not only would it lighten the chassi but also the drive train. Duno how much performance could be gaines but any loss in weight shoudl equate to more rpm at the wheels. I will be doing it as soon as the clone arrives.

Well, cutting spokes reduces the reciprocating mass of the wheel. It won't mean MORE rpms, as you can't make RPMs, but it will mean slightly quicker acceleration from a stop since the weight the motor has to spin is less.

Yeah I was just thinking that you would also probably have to cut some of the gear away as well to really lighten the thing prtty much leaving just the outside of the rim and about 3 tiny spokes on it. I am now really wondering what it might do but it'll be a while til the new car arrives.

lighting up cars
The only real way to lighten up anthing is to reduce the the weigth of the cars. For starters
you could cover the windows of the cars and wet sand down the body the reason I say wet sand it
doesn't scarch the the body. Next the chassis looks pretty heady also a good sanding of the botom of it could prove wonders. try this first
before you mess with the the structure of the cars
remember the car was made for a reason, also
I guess drilling small whole in area's that dont
contribute to the main structure of the cars won't
hurt good luck!

As it's a reciprocating mass you want weight to be even on all sides. Don't cut it down to 3 spokes. Cut it down to 4. That way you have a single spoke matching a single spoke on either end.
J. Gandia- You can cut out the windows as long as you're careful. Yes, you will reduce the rigidity of the chassis but if you're serious about lightening the car you'll take off weight wherever you can.

im thinkin of cutting down to 4-spokes,remove the spoiler, cut out some of the side of the chassis, cut a little bit of teh steering compartment cap (where the hooks are, they look to big), i need to shave some putty off (hecka weighs it down and buy new body for racing)
Do you really need the suspension bar thing or stabalizer whatever it is

unfortunetly, you sorta need somewhat of a suspension, because if you dont, your car makes wide turns, and just sloppy handling overall...
but if you are just taking pics....remove it for show
another thing to lighten the body is, make some hood vents and roof scoops...that what i have done...
ive also added a mesh grille to my skyline..so it actually looks normal..haha

faster cars
I was speaking with a friend yesterday who sell mini racer cars.
He told me that he was able to make his cars go faster by pushing down on the motor. He had a rubber band holding down the motor. The only problem with this was the fact that he had to move the rubber band everytime he wanted to charge up. I though of a better idea you could put a small metal plastic between the motor and the clip that holds down the motor.
