Im getting bored with all this

I've have Zips, I have Bits, I have clones. I did dual cell mods, body mods, etc. I even picked up a KITT racer.

However, some of the magic is dissapearing. Im running out of fun things to do with all my cars. I used to love soldering em and trying to get the dual bat mod to work was a major goal. However, been there done that. Anyone else getting this feeling? Any ideas on how to bring the magic back?

joeNuggetz, I would say it's time to try something slightly larger, like an Epoch!

I have been thinking the same thing, but I think for a different reason. The little friggin cars are just too small to work on. I am thinking that something a little bit bigger would be much easier to mod. I am not decided on the ephoc size or the mini-z yet though. I guess I am waiting to see which one is going to be the next craze when everyone else starts getting tired of the 1/64's.

You kiddin' me? I can't wait til' we have 1/128 scale models.

I bought over 20 1/64's already. 10 of them can only be used for parts now. I have two more in the mail. These little things are costing me more then the larger ones did. I can't get enough of them.

Tinyrc, I think your right. I've actually been thinking the same thing. I want something bigger. Something I can polish, put decals on, mod, etc. I already have a 1/10 Nitro RS4 but I want a car I can use indoors. So, I'm actually thinking MiniZ. However, I've been spoiled by the short charge times and I guess that's what attracted me to the Zips and Bits, not to mention their size at first becuase I've never seen anything RC so small.

I was actually gonna by the Viper that RS is selling now, but RS didnt have it. I'm seriously considering a MiniZ or something. Anyone have any experience with some of the bigger cars? I dont want anything too big, again, I wanna play inside and it must have mod-ability and I need the whole charging process to be quick and not-costly. I dont wanna get a car that runs on 12 AA's. Nor do I wanna wait 2 hours for a charge that will only allow 2 minutes of run time.

I'm rambling.

Thanks

How about start making a Bits/Zips event, like World Bit Grand Prix Championship.
24 event in a year, with 24 different track, and different places......and....
Just my dreams..

i think you should get a epoch then a miniz

if you started off in this hobby with bits and stuff then to moe up i think epoch would be a good choice in to small or big to run indoors. the minz on the other hand has alot of cutomizing options and its easy to transport dosent take alot of space i plan on getting bits, epoch and a mini z just so i have some for every occison damn i cant type

theres my 98cents worth keep the 2 cents

You know, I am taking major steps backwards in the r/c hobby. I walked away from 1/10 scale racing I mean cold turkey! So I decided to do this guys for alittle while then leave r/c complety. WHY? because I so burned out in this hobby and i had enought. The end is on sight for me Joe, i realized it a few months back.

i think im going to be sticking to RCs that are under 50$ hahah
i only have an Auldey Racewin..and a bit....
the Auldeys are pretty cheap [15-30$] and they can go faster than bits
i do want an Indoor Racer...but thats sorta pricey....and im cheap

i never seem to get bored of my bits and models..i always seem to be making small body mods and vents...adding mesh..exhausts...etc..

All i know is, yes the Bits are less fun right now for me, but imagine in the winter (atleast here is snows), i'll be all set to run them inside or with my friend who have em, i can just lend them my cool motors.

But like tiny said, i needed bigger, and not 1/10 crap. So i scoped this site and mini-zracer and found that the mini z is cool, but the mini-x seems to be the whipped mash potatoes!

Plus tiny just got a huge shipment in and his prices are just competitive they down right rule! plus the free bearings deal thats going on!

So joe i think you need to procure a Mini-X 2.0 for yourself!

after reading this thread i realize how common my syndrome is. ever since i was a kid ive had this thing where i get into something for about a month, then move on to something new, ive had atleast 10-15 different rc crazes, where id go out and buy a car or truck, mod it, fix it all up, then id get bored, it itwould sit and collect dust for a few months, then id sell it. well this time i got a 1/10th truck, fixed it up, got bored, but instead of selling it this time, i decided to save it for when my son is a little older. well the reason i brought all this up is because my craze about these mini rc's has lessened but not died .... yet. i do the same thing that someone else said in this forum, tell myself im done buying cars and parts, but always end up with another, last night i returned my i racer and went to target and picked up the blue impreza microsizer. i myself almost got the viper from radio shack last night. but i also hate not having the charging ease of the zips and bits. if they came up with a 1/43rd scale car that had a quick charge id be all over it. ive ran out of projects, mods, the only project left on my list is my custom celica body im goingtopaint a special scheme, then ill post pics. other than that im kinda burned out. hope i can get back that craze i had when i first discovered these cars soon.
