what exactly would this "sputter" look/sound like?
is it the burnout and then a sudden stop?
if it spins, it works..u just gotta make some adjustments ...
make sure u use the small black pinion gear..
and make sure your axle is pushed all the way in the slots to make contact with the gears
hmm well try that...so far

It isnt a burnout. It doesn't move then it moves a lil stops and moves again. It needs a PUSH er NUDGE to move.
Quite annoying and a waste of 11 bucks.

ummm...its a common problem...and theres many solutions...
im thinking its just not making contact with the gears...so something is wrong there....
are your gears and axles matched colors?

Scoff,
I supply Tinyrc with the 3.8 motors that they sell in the Parts Shop. I'm sure that they haven't read this thread yet or they would have responded their selves. If you'll send the defective motor to me at:
Kyle Clemmons
P.O. Box 244
Brownsville, KY 42210
I'll replace it with a new 3.8 motor that I will test for maximum performance. I stand behind all my motors and if a defective motor slips out to a customer, I try to do what I can to make up for the inconvenience. Sorry for the trouble.

LOL...... I'm sure he feels bad for you, but why would he do that? Did you buy the 3.0 from him? He stands behind his product the best I've seen, but I don't think he's gonna stand by someone elses product.... All the motors I've recieved from him are great.

i've had the same problem but solved it.
you just have to rotate the motor around a bit to find the right fit.
common problem for 3.0 and 3.8 motors

Scoff,
You can use the original packaging that the 3.8 came in and just change the address. Or, you can get a bubble envelope at any office supply store or even Wal-Mart to put it in for protection during shipping.

Henry,
I can't replace the 3.0 motor that you bought from someone else. But, if you or anyone buys a motor from me and it doesn't perform like it should, you can send it back for a new one.
