does anyone have the original tripmate?

I've got 2 of the original tripmates, does anyone know if any parts are interchangeable with the current ones?
how well does the m-24 mid handle? my tripmates all seem to want to spin out very easily, even on surfaces with good traction. I have noticed that the rear pod is too flexible, and the right rear wheel can actualy hit the chassis from the flex, which is one of the contributors to the spinning out.
It is a quick car when you finally get it going in a straight line.

I have a few of them and they are great cars. If you can get the M24 conversion kit it helps alot and you can run a larger battery. Also go get some traction compound from your local hobby shop and you will get the tires hooked up big time.

Hi,
Thanks for the info, any Idea where I can still get the type-R conversion? I've been looking for one for a while with no luck. The type R makes the kit look much more like the old tamtechs in their layout, and those cars handled a little better IIRC.
