Can you give us any details on the construction, Ripper? I think we deserve that, now that you made us envious!

I already answered alot a questions in a different post, so excuse the cut n paste
The dims are 4'x7'
lets see the track surface is 1/2" mdf, its heavy but its a permanent install, the grass is painted on, and I added spackle to make hills and to hide supports the track is about 6 to 8 coats of latex paint in 2 shades of grey and black first 4 or 5 coats are really thick with a heavy brush leaving brush strokes for traction
last two coats are cosmetic and they were sponged on. The barriers are .060 polystyrene cut to 1/4" strips and 1/2" angled alum. cut to 3/4" pieces stuck down with double sided tape, the barrels are 1/2" dowel cut down to half inch pieces painted red and striped with .1" white striping the signs are 1/2" mdf and dowels. I should have all the detail work done by this weekend and I'll post more pics then. If you have any questions or advice/ideas let me know.
Oh yea the big sign says Micro RC Grand Raceway - good for now.
PS. The polystyrene comes from a plastic supplier check your phone book under sign suppliers or buy some scrap from a local sign shop. Everything else came from Lowes.

Oh yea I almost forgot the barriers with the yellow and black arrows are removable so that you can race an oval by blocking off the interior lanes
Thanks for the replies

ripper7777777 - when you post more pics can you include one showing the pieces removed for running the oval? Im working on my track and also trying to make the layout so it can be changed around.

That is an excellent track. You don't happen to live in Orange County, California by chance? If so, I'm inviting myself over! I'm tired of the kitchen floor.
