Anyone out there that can help.. i need it. If i 2 the 2 cell mod in series, do i have to mod the charging system? or can i just charge the car up more times, and if so for how long or how many times???

i couldnt get my stock charger to charge mine i know somewhere is a mod bypassing the timer in the controller and allowing more volts to flow to the batts, i use a standalone charger and charge for 90secs i made mine from a kit racer charger and modded it to have 4.5 volts instead of the stock 3 volts

so when u have the stock cotroller it does no good to take thecar off then charge it again, does the cotroller have some kind of sensor to not overcharge other than the timer, i dont see how it wouldnt charge more if i take the car off and recharge

There are two transistors that are the trigger to activate the other section so it can feed current to the charge pins.

Thinks its Q7 and Q8. Have not gotten to that part of the circuity. Max current and charge control is done by R15 & Q14. C15 set how long the charge I think.

nevermind, i did the mod,the car ranabout 3secs,then would stop. i think one of the batts was fried. put it all back together with one battery, worked fine, giving upon 2 cell mod for now. On another note my boost fairlady had horrible range so I modified a telescopic antenna onto controller, and left wind up antenna there, awesome range now. anyone want toknow how to do mod, post reply and ill get back to you,, Natedogg
