well i bought the bit racer tires and yes they help you out if you have a powerful engine
soft = more grip, better turns, slower speed
med = ok grip, ok turns, ok speed
hard = lil grip, wide turns, faster speed
ok this is in theory...and the stock tired have the best grip by far!
so with faster engines, it flips over or spins out lots...
my set up is to have stock at the back and soft bit racer tires in the front with a 3.0 motor and blue gears...gives me great accel and great turns

jeez...you people..
The bit char-g and microsizers cars come with BIT CHAR-G MEDIUM TIRES
There are TWO sets of tires, The BIT CHAR-G TIRE SET and the BIT RACER TIRE SET.
The bit char-g tire set is much softer, and has red, purple and blue tire sets.
The bit RACER tire set is made for bit racer (forward only, no turns, like a KIT racer). These tires are much harder, and good for drifting or setting your car up for wide turns.
as far as I have seen, Microsizers is only selling the Bit racer pack, and not the real bit char-g pack. Dunno why..don't make no sense.

The color tires are so much better than the kit for the Microsizers. Dont waste your money on any tire set except the cool color tires!
I typicall use the Red on back and purples for fronts, however my booster seems to run good with the blues on all 4 corners.
the Microsizer set is all exremely hard, like outdoor tires.

the bit racer set is pretty helpful if you don't like to do donuts all the time. I think that the bit racer set is equally, if not more important than the color bit Char-g set.

The bit racer set is extremely hard compounds, meaning more spin outs on linoleum, hardwood and tiles (from my own experience). lets think about this, the harder the tire the less traction and more loss of control.

yeah, but not if you only use them on the FRONT... that means LESS spin, wider turns..yes?

nah anything harder than the purple, maybe the blue and it doesnt steer to well on those surfaces either.

But the colors are soooo fruity. Why do they have to be colored? when do you see performance cars In real life with purple tires?
Just soo gawdy for me.

Do you even HAVE the both of the tire sets to compare?
with fast motors (2.6 and up) , on SMOOTH surfaces (finished wood, lanoleum, smooth countertops, ect ect) The BACK tires are prone to slip out if the FRONT have too much grip, causing DONUTS.
This can be prevented by adding BIT RACER harder compound tires to the FRONT, and BIT CHAR-G softer compounds to the back.
As the motor speed goes up and the gearing goes down, the car has more and more of a tendency to slip and lose control.
Having bit char-g (fruit-colored) on all 4 tires makes the front grip too much, making the back tires slip out.
I have raced this way, and so do many other people. It really works. Try it. Really.

anyone try running something wider than stock in the back. Increase the contact patch in the rear should help the spin outs, but not to much or you will get to much drag.

I have all 3 sets. the Tomy color set, the Tomy bit racer set and the Microsizer set.
I find on my most common 2 surfaces, hardwood floors and that ****ty linoleum type tyle, that my best set up with a 3.0 in a non-boosted bit with the lowest gearing (7.25:1 ? blue) is red on back and purple up front, or blue all the way around.
and this is just my $0.02 take it or leave it.

i find that if it is not dusty and you have softer tires and a good, functioning 3.0, like you say, the car does donuts, or flips over. Dunno about you, but i like my car upright and moving in a forward direction while racing.

YES.
The tires make all of the difference in the world. Try experimenting with different combinations for your particular track surface and suspension set-up.
Cleaning the tires before each run helps as well.
Think of it his way. The tires are the only part of your car to touch the ground. The friction between the tires and the surface is what makes you car go/handle/stop.
