I bought a Dnano in Canada, HELP!!
I just bought a dnano enzo on saturday, but that shop didn't register my car on racednano.com. I don't think that hobby shop knows anything about registering dnano's cuz they are not an authorized dealer. Can someone help me with that?

your s.o.l.
your going to have to take it to a shop to do it or mail it to a shop. it's only worthwhile if you plan on racing it at an official track location.
i bought 2 of them from a hobby town via the phone and neither of them was registered.

uhhhh... y do u care if its registered @ racednano.com? are u racing @ hobbytown usa? if not, the whole registration thing is worthless. they even have nanotrax listed as one of their shops but we don't participate in their 'online' program so... that tells ya how organized things are with it. *shrug* good luck

i agree with Qon, unless you intend on racing at a hobby town, it's pointless really. you can always do so at any time at any hobby town. be prepared to pay for the membership fee however.
part of the deal hobby town has it that you get free registration on the website and some free membership time. after that, your paying for the pleasure.

D'Nano in Canada and the GTA (greater Toronto area)
To the original poster and the last person posting: I live in the GTA too and can certainly help you with anything D'Nano, as we are extensively developing the car for in-school and camp programs here in Toronto and across Canada.
I can tell you that there are NO authorized dealers in Canada for d'nano and you are basically on your own. That said, I bring in my cars from directly from Japan and have yet to have a problem; I usually have a new car or two in stock -- if you are not too picky about what body style you want, and I would be happy to do a quick break-in and test it before you plunked your money down.
The main issue you will have with the d'Nano is finding a track to run it on ...which is why you shouldn't worry about "registering" your car ...the Hobbytown tracks don't exist up here, and even if they did, in my humble opinion, they are a an unexciting joke and the online racing program is poorly implemented and completely non-functional at the club level. (do NOT run your car on a bare floor unless you enjoy cleaning out the front bearing every two minutes).
With respect to Kyosho's involvement up here, I think I was a year younger the last time a Kyosho rep visited this forum to take the pulse of the d'nano community, let alone addressed any of the Canadian issues.
Ranting aside, I take the view that the glass is half full and the cars have a lot of potential. Read through my posts and anything on RCP tracks to get a good idea on how to setup a good track and what to run it on. I can supply you with a track if you need, either an RCP or my hand-built tracks.
Setting up a good track at home, and then getting a few buddies interested in racing is currently the ONLY way to enjoy these cars outside of Japan or the US (and even in the US, in my opinion) as there is no organized racing in Canada. Also, vist Q'on's site over at Nano Trax to see one of the few D'Nano racing communities outside of Japan.
Hope this helps you get going, and if you send me your email via mesage board I will keep you informed of upcomming events in the Toronto area. - Lorne

Hi,
FYI, my shop, Mini-Car Club of Canada (MC3) is now an authorized dealer for all things Kyosho which includes dNaNos.
All dNaNos will carry the normal manufacturer's warranty as they are direct from Kyosho (North) America, i.e. not grey market from Asia, etc...
Please come to the shop and check us out.
I may consider getting/setting up a dNaNo specific track later. For now, we'll use the RCP track we have setup for Mini-Z racing.
If you do get a kit from me, note the car will remain unregistered as that is for USA only (Hobbytown). According to Kyosho (unofficial word) is that there are no plans to support Canada in that way.
