XS motor

Anybody know if Kyosho XS motor has more or less torque than stock DNano motor.
Usually hop up motor has more RPM but less torque, is it correct?
I need more torque because my Enzo tyre is big, and I already use 6T pinion.

going to a 7T pinion gear will dramatically increase your acceleration. since the ENZO has a 20mm rear wheel, that's as large as you can go. stick with a stock motor, its plenty fast if u just make a gearing change

I fit the X in my Enzo and picked a huge on-power push, it does come out of the corner harder than the stock motor, both with the 6T.

...did you notice any drop in battery run-time with the higher RPM motor?

You'll drop run time oh yeah!

I can run up to one hour with one 30 minute charge and when I use the XS motor I can go only 30 minutes with a 30 minutes charge.

Thats me though.

Get a ball diff darmawaa and youll improve on coming out the corners.

Not sure since I haven't run more than a 15 minute stint on a battery. I am sure the X will shorten run time.

I have the ball diff. But I prefer stock one, because I want a loose setting but no slip. Ball diff if set loose there is a slip. If set medium, the diff action too tight.
What setting do you use for Kyosho ball diff? Tight, med, or loose?

get rid of the spacer... leave in 3 plates (1 on the bottom, 2 on the top where its adjustable). this is the best setup for my porsche 911 gt3 on our track surface.

When I got the GT3 911 I had a really good gear diff but when I picked up the Skyline and the Modena theirs were just flat our terrible so loose!

I use with two spacers medium on my ball diff but that's with the stock motor. I have the XS motor and I am running on the 3P Infield track and there's not alot of room for that motor IMO. So I stick with stock motor and not too much throttle and I get like an hour run time. I'm all about no hits and endurance racing.

EQUALS FUN!

here's what I've found about different differntial settings

As one would expect, the differential's effectiveness and optimum setting is based almost entirely on the friction coeficient of the track surface. I learned just how true this was as I drove an F360 on our 'sticky' rubber track (where it bounced around like a check from GM) and then drove the same car on a mid-traction surface we are testing, that is similar to EVA tiles.

On the lower traction surface, the stock differential drove fine, all be it with a noisy, grindy and unrefined sound. With the stock diff, you are gaining a little speed through lighter weight, and then throwing that gained fficiency away because it is not very smooth. But it drives not as bad as I thought. One sticky tracks, the stock diff contributes to rear-end chatter and axle hop and is almost undriveable. So it depends on your track surface.

On surfaces such as that at Nanotrax, I agree on the three spacer setting, but also like the two spacer setting on some cars.
