stretched evo chassis? any tips?

I searched the forums and am not coming up with anything (maybe my search skills are lacking)

I have a 1/24 scale Chevy S10 body I want to put on my Mustang Evo chassis.

I thought I saw somewhere that there are extension pieces I can get but I don't see any at radio shack.

Has anyone fabricated any custom extension pieces for an EVO and might they want to post up a pic?

Best thing i found was an Wooden Incense Burner. But that would only work if ur makin a limo. How long do u need to stretch it? If i knew how far i might be able to come up with something.

not far. somewhere between 1/2" and 1"

I saw someone had done it on here with extra spacers like the spacer provided with the mustang evo chassis.

that might work but i was looking to see if i could fabricate something without spending any $$

interested in stretching too. would probably work on more 1/24/ 1/25 model cars I would imagine.
