Recharable AAA's work fine, especially higher capacity NimH cells - One thing to avoid/stay-away-from <IMHO>, see info in this thread -> http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....threadid=21770

I think that you'll find that 700mah batteries (NimH as well as NiCad) will require recharging rather quickly. Although those batteries can be had at a fraction of the cost, I'd highly recommend the more pricier 2000mah or 2100mah AAA rechargables. The cost is considerably more than the 700mah cells, but last much longer between charges.

I power quite a few things out here in the woods (flashlights, pocket radios, etc... especially flashlights <LOL>), and the few 700mah AAA and AA batteries that I have don't last any time at all before requiring charging. The 2000mah and 2100mah batteries that I have last considerably longer (nothing is more of a PITA out here in the woods than reaching for a flashlight only to find that the batteries are dead <LOL>).
