Hydraulics Idea

hey i was wondering if anyone has ever bought one of those pimp model cars that have hydraulics and put them onto there ZZ. it sounds like the hydraulic wait has finally come to an end sorta(or narrowed down)

there was a really old thread that had someone put hydralics in their car, try a search or look on the older thread pages.

but also if you can get the axle to stay in place and go forward in place, its hydraulics but only for show.

You do know how big those model hopping cars are right? they're like a foot long. Also, why would you mod a zipzap to hop and not drive? It's a waste of money. Just buy a hotwheels car and google instructions for making it hop. It works alot better and it like 15 bucks cheaper.

there's a ton of info on making lowrider models here, check out 1/64 diecast in particular. build it on a hotwheels or something, keep the ZZ as an rc car.

Well how's about simply a closeup pic of the mechanics/parts in the modded car?

Uh, sorry but I gotta call BS on that.

You can't have a pic of the mods performed, they just left the non-gear side of the rear axle partially out to make it pull a a 3-wheel.

Looks like the body was actually sitting on the sidewall, and they might have added ballast to the DS rear corner to get as high of a lock as possible.

And if I'm wrong apologies are in order as soon as proof is given.

Just take off body, show a few pics of chassis. Where you cut it, what your pivots are, what you used as actuators, where you be schoolin' out girls and givin' them places... Wait, guess we don't really need the last one. Couple naked chassis shots and maybe a little description is all you've got to show for me to take it back.

But you've posted that one car in too many threads for me to come close to believing it'll do all you claim. I only singled this thread out because I've scratch built a few model lowriders with working "hydraulics", and I would personally LOVE to see how you were able to cram everything you'd need into a ZZ chassis while still having room for all the RC parts. Please, prove me wrong! I'd love to learn a few new tricks!

If you just made some 1/64 scale "pumps", then that's cool too, though it's a different thing. I've seen some of these cars with a very well detailed "bottle" but they don't claim to really have nitrous, and even if they did these are electric so it wouldn't do any good.
