Need Help!
Well i'm really happy that i got my xmod yesterday after asking my parents. But the problem is that whenever i try to drive the car, it sounds like the motor is trying to run but it isn't sweaking high pitch so i don;t know whatz wrong. The steeering works but the motor doesn't. COuld it be my batteries are dead? And one last thing, if i had put akaline rechargeables in my xmod, could i repleace them with nimh without wrecking the car? BTW the car is a Honda Civic. Plz reply ASAP. Thanks very much.

you cannot recharge akaline batteries. Ni-MH is most use with Xmods next to lithium-ions so you will not have a problem. Try a new set(or full charged) of batts and see what happens. If you have other motors(stage 2), try one of them as well to see if there is any difference.

You're WRONG. Rechargeable Alkalines
You will not have any problems "switching" from NiMh. I too would try another motor, however, it could be your rear differential too. You could remove the three screws that are on the little white differential gear and place a dab of glue between the sections. That will lock it up and give you a better launch.

Those rechargeable alkaline batteries are "AA"size. I do not see any "AAA" size available.

Technology wise, AAA Lithium Ions are an impossibility, at least those that put off a min of 1.5v with a decent mAh rating. That's not the debate in the first place, numbnuts. I never stated that AAA lith ions existed.

The 10430 is a AAA:

Problem is that it puts out the same voltage as the AA, so to get a decent amount of mAH, you need 4, but that will crank up your voltage into the double digits, which can fry motors pretty quickly from what I've read.
