Final stage of Lexan Project body for Zip Zaps
I have painted, cut, and glued parts to the body
The reason why the side is cut out, is so that it can acomodate the wide plastic chasis of the car.
Decals were done by using a sharpie pen and colorin blank spots from a previous decal sheet.
The car seems to be a rear engine, two seater convertible (yeah the windshields a little crooked but im gonna fix that) =P

Yeah - send me $5 and I'll send you four of the Big Lots Porsche bodies (seriously). Mod those all you want. No offense, but that body is FUGLY.

Well, no doubt it ain't the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, but I give the kid big ups for making do with what he has!!! Total creativity at work on this project, and I bet the kid is excited as hell that he did it....so, I am all for it...looks like something out of a future based movie....good job on the mod...I would have never thought of it!!!!

id say nice job..good creativity and i bet a ton lighter than the real bodies so guess what ..if he was racing you side by side he has the advantage ..smart!

RESULTS OF BODY HANDLIN'
On a Drag strip of a yard stick.... 36 Inches
SPECS.
-Red Motor/ Turbo with red gears
-No other modifications
COBRA-
Trial 1------------1 . 41 seconds
Trial 2------------1. 43 seconds
Gold Body-
Trial 1------------1. 32 seconds
Trial 2------------1. 31 seconds
Summary-----
The shell shows a .10 second differece. Im not so sure about the body on turns through a salom or anything beacuase i dont really know how to record that stuff. But the body seems to have a noticable difference on a timer

Bleh...... The body seems to scratch the ground when truning through the corners.Slows the car down. havta cut the sides to stop that from happening

That looks pretty cool. You could put an LED in the front hole like an old headlight or something.

if it was all trimmed up nicley it would weigh a whole lot less than the stock body.
