SP vs X4

hello~
i'm just curious... for those of you who have both the DTM SP and DTM X4, how do these 2 compare with each other?

anyone knows where i can still get a SP or a X4? tried searching around, but no lucky for me....

else... is there any other good 1/24 scale cars to recomend? 4wd prefered.

thanks all

These cars are VERY different, like night and day.

The XX4 is 4wd drive and handles like it BUT has very little suspension travel and space for electronics is at a premium. The SP handles like a rear wheel drive car aka can be faster if you can handle it. The SP is of course much more challenging to drive and spins out very easily. It is more-or-less a 1:24 scale pan car.

What are you looking for/ to do with this car?

in my school theres a Modeling club where students build model kits and share experiences. once in a while theres a model car with a nice paint job but the chassis with minimal detailing(cheaper kits tend to be have less detailing...).

I'm looking around for suitable 1/24 chassis to fit those 1/24 model kit body shells to so that the students can play with their cars.

Not to mention this is a good chance to introduce for students to the RC hobby

i understand that not all 1/24 kit shells fits a 1/24 racer... the fact that theres so many potential choices out there for them to 'race' the cars of their dream. New comers tend to enjoy racing more than appreciating the mechanisms.
