Driveshafts (more questions)
I need a driveshaft that's longer. Anybody have any idea where I can get one? I don't really care what's it's made of as long as it's durable. I went to home depot to see if I could find a rod that was the same diameter so I could make my own, but alas, they were too thick (barely) or too thin. I extended my Chassis by about an inch, and now the shaft is too short so it rattles and the gear bounces around alot. Can I find one of these rods at a hobby shop or something?

you can find carbonfiber shafts at most hobby shops that deal with r/c airplanes. if not check out decals-r-us. if you look the the performance mods you will see a listing for a "custom drive shaft"

Thanks for the heads up. I think we have one local shop. I'll check it out today.

OK. I found out that the driveshafts are 3mm. Where can I find 3mm rods. I don't care what they're made of, as long as they're long enough.

actualy they are 2.97mm. and the info goes just as befor any hobby shops that deal with r/c planes will have them in carbon filber or plastic or hell even wood. sometimes they have metal rods but they are a pain to try to grind down the notches into them. also decals-r-s has custom order shafts just tell them how long you need it and they will make to order.
