battery dies quick when on ground
if i keep my car upside down the wheels will spin nonstop for like 10 minutes, but once i put it down, even on the smoothest of terrain the battery will drain in about a minute and a half, the batteries arent that old, only a couple months, and nothing has been modded with the wiring on this body yet. Any suggestions towards fixing this?

what kind of batteries are you talking about? You say they're only a couple months old. If they're alkalines, that's ancient.

Well, the only thing I can suggest is to try another known good set of batteries. Try some alkalines if you don't want to spend the $20 for four new AAAs at Radio Shack. If it works fine after the swap, the batteries are bad, and you need to replace them. If it still isn't working properly, you have bigger problems on your hands than most people here would be able to help you with.

When you've got the car flipped over and running, there's no real load against the motor to spin the wheels, so that's not necessarily a good test to validate your batteries.
If you've got a voltmeter, I'd suggest charging up the batteries and then individually checking the voltage on all of them.
Using my quick charger, after a full charge my batts come out to about 1.33v to 1.36v (NiMH batteries). See what kind of numbers you have.

Alright, first steps first. Buy a new set of batteries. 4 new RS alkalines should run at least 20 minutes. But the rechargeable set for $25 at RS it's the best investment you could make.
I can't believe I'm posting here again, oh well.
