zz se questions before i buy

just realized i should have gone for the two for one deal at radioshack, so im taking back the regular edition i bought the other day, then they said they could refund me so i could get two SE's and basically the one i already paid for for free.... SO

Im either getting two SEs and keeping my NSX, cuz i already have both frequencies of the originial--one is broken but maybe i can fix, will post on that later tonight.

So about these SE's i heard prior to 3rd gen are bad, how do u tell if its third gen i know its a code somewhree, but where on the box??

Also, is the steering with those weird controllers better for most people?? Thanks.

I'm not too knowledgable about the various generations of the SEs, but the code that you're thinking about is simply a manufacturing date code - month and year (although, I suppose that it can be used to help determine which generation that the PC board/car is).

The steering of all of the SEs is rather nice (compared to the original Zaps) as it is proportional, but I personally *DETEST* pistol-grip controllers of any sort, much rather perfering a proportional-analog-stick controller.

Although, it's not too miserable (for folks like me who hate the pistol-grip controllers) when you finally get used to it -
