swapped pcb into my zip
I went to my local hobby shop and saw that they had several new microsizers in, well they use to want $35 for them, but due to poor sales the guy gave me one for 25. the speed was awesome, i must say it ruined my outlook on zip zaps, but i missed the look of the zip zaps, and the handling, so i said screw it im going in, after some serious tweakin and modding i got the boards and motors swapped. Now my zip kicks a** if you know what i mean. Im gonna take some pics and post the way i did the board, its so clean it looks like it came that way. And while I had it apart i soldered a new antenna on, a single strand of 10 guage wire, then ran it through the snap thing on the plastic cover, melted it together so it would stay there, superglued some shrink tubing to the body to feed the wire through so it wouldnt flop all around, i love the speed, and i actually think the cotroller is a little easier to use, oh yeah, i had to mod that a little too so it would charge. i clipped a little of the plastic nub that sits right above the charge tabs so the zip would go far enough down to enable the charger, im gonna try to get another board and motor from a broken microsizer so i can do all the same to my other zip, im spoiled now, wont go back, the stock micro was much faster than my red, or nos motor with any of the gear combos, So im running a 49 mhz zip, with microsizer stock board and motor, red gears, also using the micro battery too. I have 7 bodies to choose from, all the tires, hubcaps, and gear sets, so im set for awhile, anyone with a spare micro board, its well worth the trouble. back tomorrow

WoW! Great job man! I gotta say, 25 bucks fo a Microsizer is a pretty darn good deal.

If you want more speed, run the NOS motor with the bit board, its MUCH faster and has tons more torque with the bits board and its faster than the 2.2 that came with your bit. Also, I get better performance with the ZZ battery in my bit than the stock bit one.
