Chezoom! by Boyd's Xmod (In-Progress)
I was sitting around this weekend and decided that I wanted to try my hand at converting a model car body over to fit on an Xmod. The body that I wanted to convert more than any other was Chezoom, which was designed and built by Boyd Coddington in the mid 90's.
Here are three pictures of the conversion in its primal form. Ignore the blue tape over the top. The tape is currently hoding the windows in, as I didn't want to glue them in until I got the body painted and detailed. I hope to have everything done by week's end. I'll post pictures of the progress.

I thought I would post a link to some pictures of the actual car for those of you who are not familiar with it. I've seen this car in person and it is AMAZING!!!

OK, here is the first round of updated pictures. I got the bodywork done last night and shot 4 coats of paint. I haven't shot any of the gloss clear lacquer yet, so what you see is just the paint.
I hope to get the chrome put on and cleared either tonight or tomorrow.

OK, guys...here's the final pics. I had a lot of fun trying this project out and am now inspired to raid my model car shed to see what else I can fit. I haven't installed the headlight lenses yet, as I'm planning on fitting the Xmod Command Logic light set in there over the next week or so. Oh, and notice the chrome wheels. I used some bare metal foil on them to tide me over until I get the model's wheels converted.
Here's the picture of the chassis extention. I made it from the clear top of a CD case.
