couldnt wait

to open it up once i had noticed i had an 06a04, immediately without addind anything i just started playing it the steering back and forth , sounds way different way quieter hard to explain, also i then tore off, the craddle and flipped the pcb, now the wires are wired to the pcb exactly the same as the 7/7 mod and so far everything else looks the same iside, in about twenty minutes when i get some batteries in here i will let you know about the new steering, i almost want to say i think by the sounds of things there will be a full 7 steps and also way less jitter!!!!!!!!!!!same green steering motor just noticed that

okay things are way different

now that theres power in this thing, it still is much quiter than the other models, and no messing around the propo steering is better than ever. 7/7 everyway this car is smooth. and the best se i have ever had! i was nervous to try the next test but oh well, i tried to put the 06a04 car on my 05a04 charger, and the amber light didntr appear after 10sec went to red still went green after 45 secs but no amber, back on the 06 charger went amber as usual, RANGE = okay quickly in my hose i just tets it and seems to be cutting in and out around 25-30 ft, but the steering is so much better

in vancouver.....

i am from canada, and received this from radioshack.ca. also if it makes a difference for stock maybe, you might not get an 06a04 if you order a say yellow rx7, only thing i am positive of is the red 2005 mustang. that is the car i received. so to ensure a 06a04 model i would order that one. also check to see if where they are being sent from. which i beleive will all be the same but you neeed it to come from INTERTAN in BARRIE, ONTARIO. intertan is the company that owns radioshack here in canada. barrie is there head office, also where they handle and process all internet orders from. hence got radioshack.ca and order it

as i continue

to play with my new se, iam going to keep adding what i have noticed, its hard to compare to my other SE's because my other SE's are FET'd and dual celled , which when i completed on the mods on the 05a04 models the steering jitter was incresed tremendously "as i heard one guy say it sounded like his car had an idle because the jitter from the steering motor trying to lock at center "from the little it had just being a single cell out of the box SE' which others have notice can be trimmed out of the car with e few minor adjustment on the trim and steering centering. and some more background on my 05a04s and things i had noticed on improvementsd from 04a04 to 05a04 and after the mods in my 05a04, okay well always one of the problems with either models was jitter in the steering as well as functioning steps meaning equal= adjustments being made as i a steer left or right and consistancy or fluency was a problem! at least i have noticed and posted about. all told you were supposed to see 7 small increments left or right, another issue was power jitter, although wasnt never really talked about here or atleast i didnt pay much attention to. using the foward/reverse trigger consistanlty i would here the motor break from full throttle and have a tendancy to seem it was flicking off/on, some people said this would be fixed with FET, well its true, there is still jitter in the steering, but not in the trigger. but for others that dont have there cars fet'd this is good news. so onto basically say that the two things here i am talking about are fixed in the new SE i dont have ANY steering jitter, no control issues inside of 20 - 25 ft with the stock antennae , i iam going to use a tooth brush now to remove the black coating, and see if they have changed the transistors, as there is no break in the foward/reverse conductivity ever, and i have tested this to be able to right about it. i am some what of a newbie at this i think i might be being a bit modest but i am sure there are other people that have more experience than i, i would appreciate any other differences i have not noticed to update this.

ive made a mistake....

in comparing the pcb to an 05a04 that i had thought was modded in fact wasnt modded other than i changed the transistors to p-channels, i am terrible sorry to tell you theat the steering wires are solder to the same posts, but i am not differeing on my steering outlook, i have heard of others say they now have 07's with studder. blows me away, my car doesnt even sound like any se i have owned or any od my next door neighboors. i ripped open the steering box, to see if any of the gears are different , but i can tell if the teeth are different. they are still white.
