Obligatory "My Xmod" post

Here are some pictures of my Supra. It's got a Team Orion 180 motor with an 11 tooth pinion, two 3.6v Li-Ion cells, Sluggbug's CF shaft, suspension, bearings, AWD, wheels and tires, body kit, and mirage paint.

I sanded the body with 2000 grit paper (which I should have done a lot more of to smooth out some of the spots where I glued the body pieces on). Then I masked the windows using plain old brown masking tape. Then I cleaned the car with a baby wipe (those things are handy! Dads know what I'm talking about). Then I applied five base coats, four paint coats, and four clear coats. Light coats in 10 minute intervals. I'm pretty happy with the results.

As for the mods, since I've installed the motor and batteries, I haven't been able to go WOT for more than a second or two. It's *fast*.

They deliver a lot of power, that's for sure. I haven't really had a chance to flex them out yet. Over all, I'd say they're too expensive. If it wasn't money I'd received for my birthday, I would have spent it elsewhere, probably bills

Did that Team Orion motor fit right in or did you have to mod it?

No vids, sorry. I'll see if I can work something up. The 180 motor fits without any mods in the plastic motor mount. I need to find my old dremel and work out the metal heat sink a bit. It *almost* fits, but not quite.

Did your team orion need a FET upgrade?
Also your car looks awsome I bet the thing is faster than fast.

Glad you guys like it!

The Team Orion Stock 180 is safe for the stock FETs, which is one reason I selected it. Unless it's for drag racing, I can't really imagine needing any more power. I'll try to get a video some time this week.
