i finally got sick of not being able to get into reverse because my controller was too sensitive. i you have this problem too i would reccomend trying this first.
this requires:
phillips screw driver (larger than XMOD screwdriver)
dialectric grease
remove the screw that has the green circle around them
and the steering wheel too.

then remove the crystal and circled screws and remove the two halves. they might come apart hard the first time but after that it will come apart easily if you repeat this.

once inside the controller remove the big plastic piece that is circled. then put a light coating onto the contacts on the PCB board. then remove the three screws that hold that PCB board on and CAREFULLY lift it up and that side should be similar to the top and put a light coating onto PCB board on that side too.
after doing this i found that my car is much more responsive and the throttle and steering are much smoother. and i can easily get into reverse
