By where te antenna connects to, there are 2 transistors or resistors(I dont know what to call them). 1 or all of them may be blown. If one looks discolered or not the same color as the other one that one may be blown.
Go to a electronics shop with the xmods chassis and ask them to find or order that same transistor/ resistor for you. Then solder the transistor/ resistor on in place of the discolored one(s).
