There is no way a real HID light will fit on a Bit. They require a ballast which is 100 times bigger than the car. I think they just mean that the lights have a blue tint to them. Just like all the other ones that are being sold.

The ones that www.tinyrctoys.com sells have the blue tint, those are the ones that I have. They are very bright. Similar to the ones on those LED keychains. You will have to drill into the body of the car, and they use their own battery, so runtime isn't affected. As for how they look, it really depends on how well you install them.

i didn't have to drill into my car. if your body has paint over the headlights, you will have to use some solution to remove them, then simply wire up the lights, use putty to stick them under the body... and there you go. soldering the wires is recommended but not required.

How come they sell them seperately for each car? I want one for my skyline but they don't have any! Can't i just use some other cars lights?

Thanks for the help!

They make them model-specific for the instructions. Some cars are bigger/have different sized headlights. The kits are really universal, but the wire lengths may be slightly different.

I bought a kit for the Skyline from ToyEast. It's about $13 shipped (best to order several things at once), but I love it. And the instructions and materials are top notch. The wires are so thin they can be a pain to work with though, and I'd recommend soldering them. They don't appear to have the Skyline kits in stock anymore, but I could scan the instructions for you (since that's the only difference).

Like I said the instructions are the ONLY difference, so just pick any car.

Email me when you order the kit and I'll scan the shiz for ya.

The place where I bought mine from still has the skyline sets in stock. They really are just universal sets. You can use any one, and instructions aren't really necessary.

removing paint

If your headlights are backpainted (like on the subaru WRX) youcan easily and safely remove the paint with ethanol (that's grain alcohol for you kiddies). This will not fog or damage the clear plastic in any way. Although I have not tried it, denatured alcohol should work as well, and is easier to get, but with ethanol, at lesat you can have a snip of the leftovers.
