Question Tamiya 4WD motors...

I was just wondering, would a tamiya 4wd motor fit and work in an xmod? im going to get an xmod for xmas and wanted to know so i can "borrow" my friend's plasma dash motor . also if there is going to be any modding needed to make the motors work cuz im thinking the motors are pretty fast.

Actually I read that they're the exact same size and everything but I think that one kills your esc.

The motor will work without any moding but you will end up frying your esc

Is there anything i'd have to do to the motor to connect it to the car? i.e soldering? Or can i just use the endbell of the stock xmods motor and put it on the tamiya? im going to try one of my friend's weaker motors as soon as i get my xmod

No, I tried it (plasma Dash), and it sucked. Not worthwhile for XMods.

If you want to experiment with different motors, try a Team Orion Elite stock motor for the Micro RS4. (long wheelbase setting only)
