Buy a pinion puller. Seriously. There are several online.
Oh, and don't buy the Tamiya puller! It is very specific to the Mini 4WD cars, and the XMOds pinions won't fit in the slot on it.

Yeah, that was why I decided to try it. I knew it was being used exclusively for 130 motors. It's just that the gear won't fit in the little slot they have in it. It is mostly plastic as well, and seeing how bent up mine gets, I bet it'd break on the first or second pull...

I picked up my heavy duty HUDY pinion puller at a local Slot Car racing track for like $14. Its been the best $14 I've spent recently aside from the money I spent yesterday on my new MiniDisc player.
