does the compacitator really do anythin?
the one on the motor? because mine just broke

It reduces the Electromagnetic Emissions from the motor, which can cause erratic behavior. My suggestion would be to find a way to put it back on, because you probably just seriously shortened your range.
EDIT: It's spelled "capacitor"

go to rs and get their box of mixed disk capacitors and find one thats close to the size of the one u got
