Revell Camaro Almost Done!
Here's a model body i DID get to work. It's the revell '69 camaro. There was another guy on the site that got it to work but he used the method where you carve out huge arse wheel wells. Since the camaro roof and doors line up relatively well, I decided to dremel away 1/2in. of the middle of the body. It came out pretty spankin good (i think it looks much much better in person):

now all i have to do is putty/glue up those lines and it's ready for painting!
BTW: What kind of puttying do you recommend to fill in those holes?

Well i was cuttin mine and its about half a cm bigger than yours for my own reasons but damn this thing is going to be hard to mount. The side skirts push against the batteries so much it pops off. So what would you think to mount this sucker?

I agree. It just looks like a Camaro with mini doors now! I'm afraid cutting a body in half as done causes a butchered look.
Chopping a body takes a surgical execution. You have to know where to cut the body and how much material to remove in order to sustain the original body lines. It's not as easy as taking a saw and cutting the car in half.
Good luck with the putty, look like you'll need a lot of it.

appreciate the comments...i guess. i cut off exactly 1/2 inch, at the most ideal spot, where everything realigns. i dont think it's as distorted as you think it is, my dad, who's a car buff immediately said "wow nice '69 z28." Anyways, i'll post further pics after the final construction, than you be the judge.

when i did my mine, i used "squadrun white putty". but next time i do a conversion like this i will use a epoxy of some sort, i think it will fill the gap better and look cleaner when painted. good luck man.

i used bondo body fill (same as on a real car) to fill in the f&r bumper, and side skit attchment line on my supra, and to build out the hood on my skyline. i think u could use that on your car, just try conecting some flat plastic together and sanding it flat first to get the hang of it. (i work with this stuff all the time at work so i am used to how to work with it.) u said ur dad is a car buff so mabey he has used it b4 ask him about it
ps. i think it looks more like an 68,69 AMX too
