A few ZZ questions...

Hi peeps, Im new to this site and to this whole "tiny" rc thing, and I have to say I love it!!! I've been racing 1/10th scale off-road and touring cars for about 8 years and im still so amazed at these little things!! I have to say spending $35 for a Zip Zap and ff tuning kit is the best investment ive ever made!! My car is pretty fast with the NOS motor and the green gearing, but it is alot faster with the body off, so im gonna get a few 1/64th slot car bodies to take off some wieght. I also cut out the sides of the chassis and cut the clear electronics cover down to a frame, then put a piece of plastic wrap over the hole with a line of ca glue, I can tell slight increase in speed and torque, but the body is where the wieght is. Does anybody know if you paint the slot car bodies with lexan spray paint (like 1/10 bodies), or do you paint them with a brush? Also, how long do these little motors last? Are they brushless? I know with some 1/10th scale motors they loose performance after a few runs if you dont clean the comm and clean-replace the brushes.. Does anyone know approx. how many runs I can get before I need to replace the motor?? Thanks for any help..

-Vince

about the motors...

i have run my 2.2 motor for over a year...i am estimating over 400 charges, and it still works like it did out of the box. Some faster motors eventually start to wear out...but not all of them. If you see a problem, thats when you need to replace them.
