i got a problem...

when i put masking tape on a body to do a racing stripe when the paint drys then i take the masking tape off and it leaves spots of like rubber or goo or something like that .i need a good way to paint a stripe please help

What tape r you using...3m masking tape is what i use, and ive never had any problems...make sure you put it on even and flatten it down with your nail....u shouldnt have any problems

Also, don't wait for it to completely dry before removing the tape. I think I waited about 30 minutes when I did my Skyline. I used Tamiya masking tape, very clean edges.

Instead of directly painting the car you can paint really thin pinstriping tape and put that on the car thats what i did with my skyline. man allotta people stripe skylines right BC!

Thats what alot of people are doing. I use electical tape to make stripes on my ZZ.

If you spray it just enough to get the color depth without going too thick, the tape comes off easier. Also, when I paint a stripe, after it dries, I very carefully pull the tape off at an angle, using an exacto knife to keep the stripe itself from peeling. Also light wetsanding and clearcoating really make a huge difference.
