Xmod NUMBA 5!!
yup you heard it... so my first xmod had a range prob (SKYLINE) second had a steering prob..( stripped the steering servo gear)*skyline too* 3rd... had a short(skyline) 4th the radio did not respond with the transmitter (Dididtn think to try in store since i was ripping the store off with my 4th return... just wanted to elave)red supra 5th now im on my fith one and its just perfect... i may have ripped off every RS in town but i got one that actually runs well...
here are my secrets:
My wheels are friction free-
Well my wheels (using the diff) when i spin one the other spins backwards almost friction free. it will spin for 1-2 seconds after i stop spinning it(wiht my finger) this was done with the bearings, i put them in a small plastic container with wd-40 in it over night, and let them soak.. then shook the container... got all the dookey out by shaking it... did the process again... untill no more goo came out when i rinsed them in wd-40...
Somthing i havent tried but may work is putting some kind of powder lube in the diff's
i have full 4wd...
Well, the all wheel drive upgrade comes wiht 1-ball bearing diff and 1-full spydergear diff. well many of us know after installing the spyder gear diff in the front and the ball in the rear that it makes the car mostly fwd... and less rwd.. making for less fun and less drivability... so i left my stock (white diff) in and it runs better than ever...
I get perfect drifting tires prepped everytime...
I spray wd-40 on the ground and run on it for 30-40 minutes and soak my tires in wd-40 then when i get ready to drift thier so soft the fly off in the drifts... which is good because i like a challenge, and the softer the tire the harder to break the car loose...
Anyways. this was a vent/brag thread... i hope some of my stuff will help sombody...

No, putting them in wd-40 would make them more suseptable to flying off.. my car throws tires every 10 minutes and ive lost about 7 tires so far, i have gon through 2 tire kits just to keep soft tires on the puppy... and i like the challenge... my xmod is the sweetest toy i have... even over my car!

ive had the problems with my skylines too. i gotta go to the mall to get me a civic and away from these skylines. if you get some Prestone Brake Cleaner from Walmart and spray the inside of the tire and put them on the wheels when they dry they stick verywell. i you need very sticky tires use it on the outside. dont use it on treaded tires though. it will eat the tread
