A few ideas, has anyone tried them?

I'm going to paint my Supra black soon, and it occurred to me that there will be a problem, in that the black paint won't contrast well enough with all the black detaining. So, I'm going to dremel out all the grille areas, and replace the black painted back with silver photo-etched mesh. I'm thinking of also getting the bodykit as well, even though I don't like most of it, just for the hood, which I'll do the same mod to. Has antone tried anything similar?

I'm also going to paint the stock rims to make them look like bronze colored rims. Has anyone tried this mod uet? If so, does anyone have any reccommendations of what paint to use? I like Testor's metalizers, does anyone have any experience with them on XMODS?

for the wheels, sand off the silver paint. i did mine black and with a good clearcoat, it came out great

I've used some of the metalizer paints before, and they do have pretty good results. just make sure that you seal them, or it will tarnish, depending on the paint.

You may want to be carefull thinning your paint, if you use an airbrush. From what I've seen, the plastic is kind of cheap, and it may have a bad reaction.
That or some of the people who have ruined their stuff by painting really don't know what they are doing.
