Ok, for ultimate traction

We have all notice that the AWD kit gives you slightly more traction but it does not use the Rear wheels efectively

Ive come up with a solution

Simply remove the RED LSD and install the WHITE lsd... it will make it so that when you spin the rear wheels the front will spin as well. you will loose some speed but it will make driving your XMOD alot more fun...

Limtited Slip Differential.

It's that white thing on your rear axle that allows for one wheel to keep turning with power while the other is stuck.

The white one is not an LSD, it's a regular open differential. Also you're not the first person to try this, I've had mine like this for about a week now.

You may not see any gains at all, if your ball diff is working properly. Some of us have noticed that the rear diff that comes with the AWD set slips way too much. If yours does this, you can swap to the stock diff and you would see some gains.

I don't know what the problems are, I have the ball diff (red) in back and I can do nice powerslides, suggesting a rear tourqe bias. It is more a personal preference thing. I like the red ball diff.

Something you can try is to remove the front bevel gear, which effectively disables the AWD, making it RWD again. When you start it out, if you can hear the motor rev up but the car's not going anywhere fast, your ball diff is not working properly. If you can, return your AWD set and get a different one. If not, change the rear diff back to the stock white one. You really won't notice too much of a difference with the white one over the red one.

well, the lsd in these xmod's are ball diff type. the big center gear (forgot what it's called) holds several ball bearings in teh center. on either side are a couple of clutch plates which the drive shafts attach to. better ball diffs can be easily adjusted loose or tight to vary the amount of slip it allows
