painting (help)

i jus put another coat on my skyline the first coat looked great but when i got toward the end of the can it looks a little blotchy but its not very noticeable, but im debating on whether or not to use clear coat the past few things i have painted i didnt really like the clearcoat an it felt sticky for a long time (couple weeks)
for those of you that paint do you always use clear coat? and how many coats do you use

was gonan put on my 4th coat.....3rd coat cracked and wrinkled some of the paint cuz the can says use in at least 70 degrees room temp. but i cracked open the window so i don't die from this stuff but i forgot to close it. 3rd coat looked great, just that i reinstalled the spoiler and that didn't have clearcoat yet so i thogut i coudl seal the spoiler to the body with the last coat of clearcoat. argh.....now i need to lightly sand the clearcoat, give it one or two coats of paint and one or two more coats of clear coat

that sucks, i pealed some of my masking off the parts an the silver somehow leaked thru the masking but i touched it up with a super fine tip brush
jus put my clearcoat on about 2 min ago i sprayed it in the garage an brought it in the house to dry so i didnt die from fumes
its lookin pretty good silver looks sharp on it
